01 — Calm breathing

In this episode practice the skill of calm breathing. When we feel anxious this tends to affect our breathing, which in turn causes tension and fatigue. We can learn calm breathing to help "ride out" feelings of anxiety.

02 — Restorative breathing

In this episode practice the skill of restorative breathing. When we feel anxious this tends to affect our breathing, which in turn causes tension and fatigue. By restoring a deep breathing rhythm it can help us to feel relaxed and energised.

03 — Muscle relaxation

In this episode practice the skill muscle relaxation. Teaching the body to relax is a skill that takes practice. Much of our culture and daily lives is focused on busyness, which can lead to tension and stress. Practicing the skill of relaxation can help us to feel calm and at peace.

04 — Letting go of thoughts

Sometimes we all get caught up in our thoughts. We may find our mind going round and round in circles leaving us feeling tired and frustrated. In this exercise practice the skill of letting go of thoughts to calm our mind.

05 - Making space for feelings and sensations

In this episode practice the skill of making space for feelings and sensations. When faced with unpleasant feelings we may try to avoid them or ignore them. While this may work in the short term we find in the long term this approach leaves us feeling exhausted and frustrated. Instead try making space for the feelings and accepting them as part of the experience of being a human. Once we can accept how we are feeling we can then choose how to respond.

06- Visualising a soothing natural landscape

When we’re stressed our mind may begin to race and our body may feel tense. Sometimes we need to soothe our mind to help us cope with life’s ups and downs. Practice this visualisation to help restore a sense of being grounded.
